Meals at Sea Otter Sound Lodge are served family-style. You will not go away from the table hungry!
Start your day of fishing off with a hearty Alaskan breakfast served family-style. As you come in for breakfast, you may smell the aroma of reindeer sausage, eggs, and hash browns, Eggs Benedict, biscuits, sausage and gravy, pancakes and bacon, or Tim’s Southwestern casserole. Our awesome alumni guests always request Tim’s Fish ‘n Egg casserole. If you want lighter fare, we will be happy to prepare you hot cereal and fruit.
On the way out to your boat, grab your lunch box with sandwiches made with homemade bread or Murtie’s famous halibut wrap. Alongside the freshly homemade cookies, grab your favorite beverage, chips and candy snacks. You can eat lunch while you are fishing (so you don’t miss the big one!) or come in for a lunch on the docks with your friends. That is the beauty of high-end self-guided fishing.
For dinners, Murtie and her staff feature the bounty of the sea with Halibut Olympia or Whiskey Ocean Salmon. One night we will throw ribeye steaks on the grill for the steak lovers. Most meals are served with homemade salads, bread, and desserts. All meals are made from scratch and assembled with love, including the homemade breads and desserts. Murtie’s meals are so popular, our guests are always asking for her recipes. Eventually, it became, “When are you going to print a cookbook?” In 2011, Murtie published her 178-page Sea Otter Sound Lodge Cookbook. It is now available in the lodge gift shop or request a copy by contacting us.
